Yarn Angels

Yarn Angels formed in August 2008 with a mission to provide warm hats, mittens, scarves, and afghans to those who may otherwise be cold in the winter. Yarn Angels started with a group of ladies from all the churches in the Milnor area.

Since the Yarn Angels have been meeting, they have supplied warm items to Richland County Social Services, Sargent County Social Services, local school districts, the Fargo YWCA, Gloria Day House, Gladys Ray House, Roger Maris Cancer Center, the Linus Project, and Churches United in Moorhead, MN.

The Yarn Angels have been blessed with yarn supplied by our members and also donations from throughout the community. Attached to each item is a tag saying, "Blessings from the Milnor Yarn Angels." We pray that this will be a reminder someone cares for the person receiving these items.

The members faithfully get together to make yarn and mitten magic on Tuesday evenings. In October and November meetings were changed to 1:30 in the afternoon on Tuesdays. Times may vary. Celeste Metzen is the contact for this group.
